That's an old survivor for sure, let it get covered with dust and call it a barn find ....

x3 on that. Wish I still had the first one I built. It was the Shelby pictured here. Got it from Target (Remember those days??).

"TARGET".......I loved that joint when they had kits.....
Three things that really stand out; and I'm not saying to the younger members that you should do this...BUT.
Target Forest Hills (Melb)...Snake & Mongoose kit, tag on the shelf...different to tag on kit, so took it to checkout, scan at wrong price, I arced up with checkout, she went to shelf..checked price, called manager to see what to do, He said.."lowest Price", ($35 compared to $20..something)...so I arced up about advertising wrong price bullshit, bullshit, bullshit ...(wife walked away...she knew what was going to happen)......got it for $15:00....probably just to shut me up.
Target Greensborough...Canadian Hauler kit, marked at $29:95, 'some one' had opened box, so I pocketed the tyres, took it to checkout, said about the box being open and tyres missing, she called manager, he had a look...bought it for $19:95......it went on Ebay, about a month ago for $215.....(with tyres)
Target Greensborough.....they had a table full of the 55 chev pro stockers....$5:00...'Five f.....g" dollars each...asked what price if I took 10......$3:50 each.
Normal price then for a kit was.....$12:95, as far as I can remember.

I shit you NOT.

When Games World...Greensborough shut down, I bought ......ALL ....ALL....their kits.......$5:00 ...EACH......$350 investment.

Geez I wish Target they still had kits......Even at $29:95 for the Peterbilt Alaskan Hauler at full bottle for Target... it was about $20:00 cheaper, (Then) than model dockyard or Hearns Hobbies.
OH....the good old days.

Sorry Will;
Didn't mean to distract from your thread,  do yourself a favour......keep it, AS IT IS.
Gives you something to look back on, and a benchmark to judge yourself by.
My first kit..long gone....was a 40 ford 3'n 1 trophy kit...tube glue. brush painted blue......LOVED IT.
Wish I had kept it.
DO NOT CHANGE THE 49.

Cheers
Clea.

i think the photo makes it look better then in is. was spray painted by my dad then i sanded the runs out of it and sanded abit to far, went back through to the plastic in some spots, dad was going to respray it but i wanted to leave it as is then i put some decals on it and thats how it has stayed.
P.S. im not into rebuilding kits so thats how it will stay
cheers will
