Jaguar XJS TWR Bathurst triple build.
Hi guys,
This is a build that I always wanted to do and with the re-issue of Hasegawa's Jaguar XJS I have finally got the opportunity to get it done. The #10 car is the 1985 Bathurst 1000 winner driven by John Goss and Armin Hahne, the #8 car is the 3rd place car of Tom Walkinshaw and Win Percy and the #9 car was driven by Ron Dickson and Jeff Allam which DNF'ed early in the race. I went to town detailing the engine bay on the #10 to make up for leaving the other two curbside. I scratchbuilt the twin oil coolers, added plug wires and throttle cables, added twin electric fans and a whole heap of braided hose and fittings from several sources. The rest of the model(s) is built as per the kit. The decals are a combo of the kit, Pattos, Studio27 and my own.
The seatbealts were very fiddly as were the rear brake ducts but it went together fairly easily and I would recommend the kit to anyone.
Cheers
