'32 Coupe - Weesner Art
This is a build I am doing as part of another forum, but it's going really well and I just wanted to share it here too.
The idea is to replicate a car from a piece of art. I have chosen a Weesner painting that I have on my wall. I am also trying to build this entirely from left over parts - a personal challenge if you like.
The body is a Revell 3 window that has been chopped 4mm. The chassis and interior tub are AMT items and make an easy channel job. Engine is a small block from the AMT '34 coupe kit and wheels, tyres and axles are all from my stash.
I'm pretty stoked with it so far...

Re: '32 Coupe - Weesner Art
I really admire your desire for new challenges in automotive modelling creativity Bryce. I too saw this model last night and am looking forward to see where it goes.
I'm also interested to see where you find the spare parts for the female figure too!

Re: '32 Coupe - Weesner Art
A quick update - have been making a recessed firewall, smoothing up the roof chop, fattening the chassis and trying to get it ready for paint. Engine is now a Cadillac V8 from the '59 El Camino kit and the front and rear tyres are from the AMT '34 Ford coupe and Revell '53 Corvette kits respectively.
Hopefully get some paint on this weekend...

Thanks Andy - reckon it's a bit too hot at the moment - even for me! It's like living in Queensland. Speaking of which...anyone know where Paul is lately?
