67 Plymouth GTX

Started on Revells 67 Plymouth GTX, so far the engine is done but not much else

Off to a good start.

I'll be watching. I'm a mopar fan.

body has been painted, stripes applied and a vinyl roof has been added

got the interior finished but discovered that its not the correct interior for this kit, the kit came with the interior for a 67 Dodge !

Very noice so far mate .... what did you use to simulate the vinyl roof?... I did one model using a Semi Gloss Black
enamel and then dabbing it with a piece of scrunched up ClingWrap. Didn't look too bad but it still wasn't the Vinyl
look I was after.

the vinyl roof was made from masking tape, one piece down each side trimmed to size and then one carefully measured piece in the middle slightly overlapping the side pieces to get the ridge for the joins

Looking good.

Looks good mate, the vinyl roof really pops on the white body.

 Good ol' Masking tape!... I got rolls of the stuff everywhere, and not once did I think of that!
