Dodge Daytona #654752 :D
This one is to go with my Superbird.
I decided to make a few mods to this one, kind of a homage to its NASCAR roots with a modern twist. I used Aoshima Blitz Techno wheels, because the flared spokes are reminiscent of the original wheels. I painted the edges of the spokes black, just like the original, and instead of a redwalled tyre, I made the rim edge red, both to copy the redwall tyre and because the coloured wheel reminded me of a NASCAR, which is where this beast was born. Otherwise it will be fairly standard. Does anyone know if the NASCAR engines were also orange, or were they painted differently?

Cool ideas - I like the resto rod theme you have going here.
Has to be a red interior I'm guessing?

I love the look of this so far.....neat idea on the rims, looks superb mate.
I'm pretty sure you'd be safe to go with orange on the motor.
Some teams probably ran a different colour, but memory tells me most were factory coloured.
Look forward to seeing some more.
cheers

I can't afford to waste paint money by sniffing it!
Engine and interior done in red, body futured, then stripped, now being cleared normally.

If you've bought some One Go (future) then can I suggest you have another go. Maybe on a practice body or parts?
I've had no problems with the stuff (apart from dust in it, missing areas and small runs - all due to me) and it gives a great finish.

Looking good.
I've never understood people wanting to put floor polish on a model car...

It's cheap, a bottle goes a long way, if you f### up you can remove it with windex, superglue will not fog it, it makes "glass" look clearer and thinner but above all it's easy to get a good glossy smooth shine using a brush.
The stupid noise is back. Excuse me while I beat my speakers to death with a stick...

Re: Dodge Daytona #654752 :D
This one is done. I'm not really happy with it, its one of my sloppier builds. Ah well, I'm moving to my new house in 2 weeks, I'll finally have a proper space to build in.
I took the pics before I put the number plate on. OOPS!

If that's sloppy, I still have a long way to go before I'll be at a sloppy standard. This looks great to me. Well done.
