Model Expo 2008 and Swap Meet (Now with PICS!!)

Model Expo 2008 will run on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29.
This will be Model Expo's 25th anniversary. Model Expo runs annually. Venue is Sandown Entertainment Centre, Sandown Racecourse, Princes Highway, Springvale (Melbourne). The Model Expo website is www.modelexpo.com.au

It is a huge show and competition for all types of plastic models and also includes traders' stands, accessories, magazines and books, kits for sale, and a massive Swap & Sell on Sunday morning. The Australian Model Car Club is one of the organising clubs and will have a display stand there. Keep that weekend free and check out the website for more details of opening times, competition categories, and admission fees.

I'll be there helping to set up the AMCC display Friday night (6 to 9pm), and each day Saturday and Sunday.

I'll be there some time or other over the weekend.

Thanks Carps. The Swap Meet is Sunday morning 9am to 12 noon. Cost $4 to get in. Not sure what you mean "do I need more stuff"? Stuff to sell or stuff for the AMCC display? If the latter - yes we will need models and other related items for the display.

I will be there Friday and the whole weekend..

I will be at the swap and sell, selling some things....... so bring lots of cash people.

I'll be there saturday, not displaying as my wife will be coming, so not an all day visit for me!

I'll be there Sunday. Hoping to see more cars.

I should remind everyone that this is a model exhibition for all types of models and not just cars. There will also be aircraft, ships, science fiction and fantasy, dioramas, military, and figures on show.

Those of you who are assisting please inform the guys at the entrance that you are there to assist on the AMCC stand, and you shouldn't have to pay to get in. There are a limited number of exhibitor's passes available for that purpose. If you are attending the Swap Meet on Sunday you will have to pay separately for that.

Oh, the swap meet is on Sunday? That's my day then!! $$$$$$$:D:D:D

Carps here's your Sunday schedule:

9am to 10am - Model Expo Swap Meet
10.05am to 11.05am - drive to Ballarat (easy in your rocket)
11.05am to ?? - Ballarat Swap Meet

Hmm, not sure that's a good schedule, the time may be easy in my 'rocket' but it could prove hard on my pocket.

The Ballarat swap is pretty much done for by 11:00 am anyhow, so making both isn't gunna work, even if I had a jet powered helicopter.

No dillema Carps! I know which one will be warmer ,dryer ,closer to home & you wont need a car trailer to take home another Hot Rod! That simple enough for ya!! Hehe
