'65 Ford Galaxie
This one's more my usual style of building. Built box stock, some Duplicolor brown (Brown Satin?), with Humbrol tans, browns and creams inside, Modelhaus whitewalls.

Re: '65 Ford Galaxie
Beautiful work there Farmer.
I've got one of these on the bench at the moment too, but have been stalled by the fit of the chassis - particularly the separate boot area. Any chance you could take some pics of the chassis fit and inside the boot area so i can see how it's meant to be?

No worries, Bryce!
This is about the fourth one of these I've built (there's a silver one, a blue one, I'm sure there's another...), and that area has been a problem with all of them. It's tricky, but the parts can be made to fit well.
Here's how you do it.
First you've got to get the boot floor sitting square inside the chassis rails. In my experience there can be flash on the sides of the boot floor insert and/or inside the chassis rails, and you need to carefully trim away any flash especially around the locating tabs. They are vital. Also make sure the chassis rails aren't warped where the insert fits in - it might need some straightening.
Here are some pics showing how things fit.
You might need to file the back of the chassis rail across the back side of the bumper to get the bumper to fit right .
The rear-facing tab on the boot floor insert fits flush against the inside of the body and in line with the boot opening and bumper height.
Hope this helps. Any more questions, just ask. I've got a few more '65s I'll work on some day!
