Re: '67 Chevelle
Thanks guys!!
Sorry for miss leading you fella's, this is the first using bmf on the window frames. I've been practicing on smaller parts like intertior trim and over lettering then paint over top then polish the lettering back through, that kind of stuff, the dash has some on this build. If you've got good panel lines to follow, it's pretty easy.
Thanks for asking about the shine. After paint, I give it 3 mist coats of clear then 1 wet coat, let it sit for a week then sand it back with some 1200 or 1500 paper, remove all the bumps and dips but not going through to the paint. Let it sit for another few days, then give it the same amount of clearcoats followed by light sanding with 2000. Polish all the swirls out with Kittens cut 'n' polish then I wax it with Meguiars Carnauba Wax.
Well,I think that about covers it, thanks again.. Joe.

And how was bmf for the first time, haven't worked up the guts to give it a go myself yet

Re: '67 Chevelle
Almost, I'm almost there!
Chassis, interior and body are finally together, just a couple little pieces and I'm done. I was supposed to knock this one up in a few weeks but hey, we've all heard that one before.
I messed around with this gold pinstripe but I didn't like either ways, looks better without any stripes.
Tinted the rear window and printed these franjipane flowers for that "girlie touch".
This last one is not the best photo but I wanted to show what the green engine and interior looks like under a purple fluro light.
Thanks

Re: '67 Chevelle
Sweet - Not too sure about the flowers but I'm in love with that colour.
That white engine bay would be a bitch to keep clean I reckon!

Re: '67 Chevelle
The flowers are a nice touch.
How about a matching "his" version (same colours) using the Prostreet kit?
Good work.

Re: '67 Chevelle
Thanks guys!
The engine bay would be a pain to keep clean, I ain't doin' it! The flowers was the easiest way to show that this is a girl car.
Zen, I know it doesn't really match but the "His" is my '64 Chevy surf truck but a pro stock version would look cool.
Cheers.

This IS nice Clutch. That straight gold pinstripe didn't look too bad IMHO. I like the Frangies also. Top job mate!

Re: '67 Chevelle
Thanks fella's!
I didn't mind the straight gold stripe either but I like it more without.
Thought I'd just drop a quick note, finished her up tonight, thanks to all who followed. I've enjoyed your comments, you're a top bunch of blokes. I'll take some pics and put it in the Showroom tomorrow.
