Didn't make it to Tumut, but I did get out into the bush yesterday and look what I found.
I think I can save it, so I dragged it home.

Did you get the doors and boot lid with it or are you having to chase them up elswhere. Nice job on the rusting.

Only found the body as you see it here.
Went to swap meet yesterday and picked up a nice door, been repaired and prepped for paint, still in red oxide primer.
Think I can get a repro cowl vent frpm Bob Drake's, still looking for a door and boot/rumble lid.
Repro floor and custom firewall will work OK with a repro chassis.

Re: Got more 'new' parts, now I know I can save it!
went to swap meet on weekend and picked up a few parts including a mint original New Old Stock front door!
There's a few layers of paint on the green door but it seems in good shape. Bootlit has a bit of rust but it's easy fixed.
Front fender might be beyond repair, but it came free with the running boards. They are pretty solid, just need new covers.

Re: Got more 'new' parts, now I know I can save it!
Went shopping today and picked up a brand new repro steel front fender for the '34. So now no need to even attempt to resurrect the damaged rusty one. Unfortunately I didn't have enough cash to buy the rears.
However, I found a grungy old one in a mates junk pile . Then answered an ad in the paper from a guy who had this fibreglass '34 rear fender and tank cover. Turns out he's been searching for years for an original steel one and finally found it. So now his car has 4 steel fenders. I can live with with a few 'plastic' parts to get it on the road, heck, nobody will know once the car is all together anyhow.
Had the swap meet chassis sandblasted and primered, so now it's down to work. Still need a few body parts but there's time for tracking them down while I build the chassis.

I got a few tins of rust converter and fish oil you can have. I was gunna use them on the FJ but lost interest. looks like you could put them to use more than me. Looks fantastic. well done!!
