53 Ford truck

I built this kit several years back as showroom new. I got tired of looking at it and decided it needed a makeover. It was originally painted red, so I sanded it a bit, and shaved the door handles before just closing the hood and spraying on primer. The engine is out of a 41 Plymouth, with all of the needed changes to depict a 49-51 Ford flathead 6.








I started with a complete truck, but somehow ended up with a pile of parts. Plymouth sourced engine, 40 Ford rims and trim rings, a different 53 Ford transmission, 55 Ford grill, scratchbuilt intake and header.

not to bad at all. I like the pin striping.

Great "weathering" effects - that engine area looks like real grime. Nice pinstriping job too.

Just like here at home in Melbourne.

What I love it that most of the booze in the USofA is destilled there, but the folks who make it aint allowed to sell it to anybody who drops by their facility.

But you can buy a six pack of beer with your petrol when you fill the car.
