Not a new build, but one I just finally tweaked.
This is the Revell California Wheels '69. When I built it I lowered the front but left the rear at stock height.
Big mistake!
Here it is as first built.
And here it is now following dropping the rear (no, it's not been repainted - different camera settings & lighting).

Weird!! the back of yours still looks higher than a Box stock one I did yonks ago! and I was only mocking up this exact kit a few weeks back and even it sat pretty low in the rear, the front end on my completed version and mock up on the other hand are both to high

Thanks all.
Paint is Fnord Emerald Green.
Paul - Mocking up the Cali Wheels release?
I originally built this over 18 months ago so memory is a bit hazy but I think the rear of this looked OK until I came to assemble it at the finish. You are mocking it up with all the parts in place? including the glass?
The rear of the chassis doesn't positively locate on anything and seems to be "springing" from the rear of the interior tub. I examined everything when I built it but couldn't find any reason for it being so high. However, looking at the amount of fuel tank showing it appears that the chassis should sit up higher in the body?
Don't know. I'm not going to pull it apart to find out but I might try and get hold of another one as I want to do a 70's street machine version with massive rear tyres on slot mags.

Yes it's the Cali version I've been messing with, looking at your build again compared to these here it's definitely your chassis not snuggling up that has caused your height woes.
and what's this "Fnord" B/S
