MPC Vette Van
Here's some photos of my finished Vette van, the photos aren't real flash though, full of shadows, blurry etc. This is why you wont hardly ever see me with a camera at a model show.
The kit is a 1977 issue by MPC, as expected the fit and detail wasn't the best but I think it's a cool looking rig. I restricted modifications to a minimum to try and preserve the kits history a bit. I just tried to detail the main parts a bit nicer.
The only mods where:
Body: hole in bonnet, Vanman number plate and "Vans are for Lovers" surround, changed the lakes pipes for other nicer ones.
Interior: Sunglasses added to top of dash
Engine: Changed heads, rocker covers, belt, alternator, added tunnel ram and carbys, aluminium air cleaners, braided fuel lines and alloy fuel block, braided radiator hoses, wired dizzy and lead dividers.
Sorry about the photos guys, not my strong point.

That looks great Rob, the donk is perfect!
I reckon it needs a curtain in the back.
Hopefully we will see this at our show next Feb!!!

Re: MPC Vette Van
Reminds me of the old Ferrari 'Breadvan' prototype car of 1962. It was built on a 250GT chassis/body.
Certainly a different looking 'vette and you've made a darn good job of it Rob. I like the detailed engine and interior too.

Re: MPC Vette Van
Thanks for all the kind words guys and thanks for sticking it up the top of the page Paul, first time for me in pole position, only took me 2 and a half years, but I haven't built much in that time.
Yeah I'll be dragging it and my HQ van to Wagga dad, wouldn't miss the chance to catch up with the mafia!

Re: MPC Vette Van
Jimmy Flintstone does a resin Vette Van body Johno but it's a 68 model, I got one of them too, I'll post up a photo if you like. I bid on another Vette Van last week but got done, there's so many sellers in the sates that wont sell to Australia, their doing themselves out of a lot of money.
