49 Ford ute
It may look like like all I build is utes but it is just the case that I have come across some cool bodies lately that were begging to be built. This body was another score off ebay, the intention has been to turn it into a doorslammer. So far things seem to be comming together nicely.
Started out with this..
Fitted one of the Revell promod chassis and a funny car hemi mated up to the lenco. The injection is aftermarket resin
Not bad but wanted the body to sit lower, and the engine higher so I cut the sils along the black line and got
Much better, so now I have got a coat of paint on the body

Thats looking good. What brand is the orange paintwork? Like the injection scoop. My brother used to make these at the carbon fibre workshop he was at some time ago.

The paint is tamiya, still needs a couple more coats. I like the finish it's giving me but the coverage, or lack of it is driving me nuts. I'm used to the auto spray paints where you can be heavy handed and they dry in no time. Spose its just the trade off for good quality.
