Unsupercharged supercharged 1956 Chev ....

I recently bought this cheap but didn't know what to do with it , I decided it would look good in the Peter Manton mini diorama as a customers car so built it as standard (actually started to build it as the supercharged version and found one of the headers were missing so went the standard route) . It is finished now but as I took photo's all through the build I figured I'd put it in as a workshop thread .



I don't know why but I figured a light (humbrol) blue would suit it , I think it worked quite well for a standard colour actually .



Underneath ,



Interior tub and engine ,



Shine overload from the poorly fitting chrome , I didn't think to test fit the bonnet's chrome trim against the top of the grille chrome till I tried to close the bonnet at the end ... It's a couple of mm too wide so the bonnet will be staying open in the diorama .

Looks really good Ian.This was one of my first kits (in the first half dozen) and one that over the years went awol. Was built as box art,this time will be done as box art should have been lol
