1956 VW by Chromecop
For the last 6 months or so I've been really blocked when it comes to model-building. To get out of that mode I started av curbside VW-build a couple of weeks ago. The Gunze VW will be built more or less OOTB but have some minor changes. First I narrowed and lowered the front, then I lowered the rear end. Next step was to find some nice bucket seats and I'm now looking for a nice small steering-wheel in my stash. I have narroed the front steelies and widened the rear ones. I've opened up the roof section to make it a ragtop. I'll probably shave the stock bumpers or scratchbuild some T-bars. It'll be flat black with flat (rust) red/brown steelies, wide whitewall tires and a sand-coloured ragtop.

I've "re-started" this build. Will try to build it as simple as possible as I'd like to finish it pretty soon. I have put a lot of work though, to build a new dashboard:
...and right now I'm shaving the bumpers and later on I'll paint them with "alclad" chrome.
I have also scratchbuilt new "grilles" for the openings in the front fenders:
