1963 Olds Starfire by chromecop
Not only doing VW's, I'm also into this "street Machine" build of a 1963 Starfire (by Jo-Han). I had to scratchbuild a new hood as I'd given the stock one away to a friend. I found a custom hood from an old AMT 1964 Cutlass that worked after some modifications. The interior will remain stock but I put a couple of extra instruments and a fully chromed T-shifter in the floor-console and switched the steering wheel. Body mildly shaved and engine got a set of twin carbs. Still in primer....

Love that kit. Destroyed one as a kid (also moulded in green) and have been looking for a cheap one since.

Great lace work on the roof
This might be a dumb question but how did you do it, lace?

Yes, I got an old pair of lace underpants from my wife that I cut pieces from to mask part of the roof then shot some of the semiflat white paint over. The "purple" paint is chameleont-color that changes from blue to green to purple depending on the light!
