My first one back. 1963 Tempest AFX.
As some of you will know i have been away from the hobby for a couple of years and have now decided to get back into it. As my first build I an going to do the Model King 1963 Tempest AFX.
Over the next couple of weeks i hope to be able to give you daily update on the progress of this one. I have already started to either make or by the necessary bit and pieced for it, Such as the injector trumpets and fuel system and the headers. I also hope to be able to give some tip and pointers along the way.
I have just about finished the body work ready for paint. Now i was going to go the 2k paint route but have decided to go with an enamel candy orange over a silver base. I hope to have the first pics up tomorrow night of the body in primer. So keep your fingers crossed that all goes to plan. I am hoping to have it for the Autochamps in September.
Well that's it for now. Let the dust fly and the paint flow. Oh anyone know where i can by some jars for my Pasch air brush??

Great to see you back into it John. JB Wholesalers are the Paasche airbrush importers and distributors in Australia. Maybe they can assist? Their website is www.jbwholesalers.com.au/paasche/paasche_airbrushes.htm

Re: My first one back. 1963 Tempest AFX.
Well have primed the body and bonnet but as fate would have it the dam batteries are flat in the camera. So i will post up some pics of all that tomorrow.
I have decided to use the wheels and tyres form the Willy pro street kit for this project as it will give me a better proportion over all and the kit plastic wheels just don't do it for me. I will how ever sand the Willy's rear tyres into slicks, cant have treaded ones for the strip now can we. Well that's all for tonight's update.
