Re: The Workshop
the paint job on the walls looks great, Are you going to weather the wall a bit I think it looks a bit sterile as is and would come alive with a slightly darker wash to around the 6 foot (2 meter for the younger here) to simulate the paint ware from people and things brushing against them. You are doing a great build so far keep it up.

Re: The Workshop
Looking great, awesome concept. I agree with Kynan a dark wash over the bricks would really add some depth to it.

Apart from a dark wash I think the walls need "playboy centrefold" posters and calenders on them. Never known any garage to not have these somewhere (apart from the toilet).
Looking good so far!

Re: The Workshop
You cant have them anymore tezza, the politically correct do-gooders killed them off the same as they stuffed everything else.tezza43 wrote:the walls need "playboy centrefold" posters and calenders on them. Never known any garage to not have these somewhere (apart from the toilet).

Re: The Workshop
Slowly getting more done on this. Lights for alley way and window. Yenko outside ready to be picked up. Not much has been down on the inside. Have thought of a business name. Piping Hot Exhaust and Mechanical. Just need a signwriter to do the signage.

Looking really good, I've heard there is a good one up there, but he might be hard to track down.
What did you use for the outside light?
cheers Graham

Re: The Workshop
Thats not bad there Kane. I have thought of tying in exhaust pipes into the Piping Hot words. Can see it in my head, just need to get it onto paper.
The outside light is made of evergreen c channel with a white LED glued in. A piece of alloy tubing for a mount that also allows the wires to run up inside of. I also glued on a piece of clear plastic that acted somewhat as a diffuser for the light pattern. The light in the window is another LED facing directing downwards. into the clear plastic window piece.
