Feels like the first time.
This is my very first RM Deuce Roadster build, built long before I realised I could do detailing with plug leads and other stuff besides just paint. Nice as the kit was, Couldn't bring myself to do it box stock, so the engine is from the RM Pro Builder '40 Convert, likewise the wheels, tyres and brakes.
Tailamps are red sprue cut and polished to shape, mounted from behind, because the parts in the kit just aren't right.
Tail-pipes are my first venture into advanced detailing, made from aluminium tube bent to follow the frame rails. The rest is pretty much out of the box.

A terrific build as one would expect from you Carps. It's a nice colour scheme and I really dig that flathead. Great job!

Re: Feels like the first time.
Thanx, I've collected all the bits to do the logical evolution of this one. Blown Ardun, bigger rear tyres than this one, stock firewall and a few other tricks. Not to mention a little more detailing with wiring and brake hoses etc.
But I do still like this one.

Re: Feels like the first time.
From Memory I think it was a Testors spray can, blue metallic, over a silver metallic base.
Don't think I have any of it left now but may still have a can in my inventory, so I'll let you know if it has a special/unique name.

No surprise from where I'm sitting - bloody nice combo. Just goes to show you don't need bells and whistles to create a nice model. Just get the basic elements right and put it together with passion!
