2009 curbside challenger
i got the AMT curbside challenger today wooooot!!!! been after one of em for agggges went thru some color chat with shoey and he showed me some awesome stuff guna try a whole new approach with this one again using water based paint so i hope it turns out ok i know exactly what i want from the kit and i hope i can turn it into one of these 2 prototypes.
this amt kit unfortunately hasnt got this type of hood but im flexible with that color scheme will be alot like this with black 5 spoke mags altho shoey told me a cool trick today about clear green and chrome so maybe i might hit it with an annodised look
this is sorta the same as above but with the 5 spoke black mags
any other great ideas for color id love to hear about them as i dont plan on doin just one of these

Re: 2009 curbside challenger
i wanna chrome it then clear green it give it a cool annodised look slap on a set of low profile black 5 spokes im thinking on using some carbon fibre film you get from auto barn for you car and using it for the bonnet jut to see how it looks interior will be black and green i guess and maybe a slight exhaust upgrade

Re: 2009 curbside challenger
well the chrome then green for anodized look will be tricky to pull off but i think you can still buy proper anodized colours from the paint barn on yamba rd in pressure pacs dont hold me to this as i havent brought any for about a year now but good luck

its very bright i tell ya i had a good look at it this arvo when i was painting and i actually blinded myself for a few secs so should look good after a few more coats and a nice clear coating and a polish

update
woot im on a roll finally got up to speed with this beast its had a
respray the first coat of fluro green orange peeled on me sigh. so i
stripped it back successfully yay and re painted with 2 pots of humbrol
fluro green over a white undercoat the interior isnt really flash just a
matt black finish for that leather look and the wheels ive changed i
went with the ones i wanted to put on cos the stock ones look el crap to
me, i used a technique shoey showed me with the lights thx shoey end
result looks awesome i tried to stay as close to my original idea in
the first post with the black bonnet front scoop spoiler and mirrors etc
i just need to put on the decals manufacturer stripes etc and its all
done woot another space gone in my wall unit, im thinking of mounting some LEDS to shine thru the head lights and tailights but thats a project that can wait a bit just glad to have it done as is lol
