Re: 7th Monaro Nationals--Warwick Qld
Bugger!!!! Rain is forecast for this event in the area..
Still ,we will make the best of it ,if that happens ?
Why is it so? The last two times I went to QLD it rained, the last time, the river in Brisbane flooded in 1996. Went there for an airshow---------no airshow...Rained for days.
Anyway , see how the show turns out; should be a few good cars there.
Cheers Ron

Tony For sure they will be. There is rain forecast here at Warwick for Saturday and Sunday. There has already been some light sprinkling in the area and on the way here today. Found a lot of Monaro,s on the way at Tenterfield when we stopped for lunch.

Re: 7th Monaro Nationals--Warwick Qld
These ar5eholes that steal other peoples cars should be stoned to death! Scum of the earth right up there with rapists and kiddy touchers. The sooner they bring in harder sentencing for these crimes the better.

Tony---Don't need to get back home. OK Only one HQ monaro was stolen, but didn't get the chance to take it away. The Monaro is owned by a member of the NSW Monaro Club. The club was staying at motel in Warwick and the scumbags moved in after everyone called it quits for the night. The Monaro's alarm was ripped out, and it was pushed into back paddock. A truck , tilt tray appeared to be used to pick it up but , because there was uneven ground preventing the truck or vehicle to pick up Monaro, the Monaro was abandoned. The Cops /foresic were employed, dusted the car. retrieved a finger print and I heard the print was known to the Police.
The report of the other 3 is correct; haven't heard anything more as I was away in Ipswitch today.
More Later Cheers Ron

Out of the 240 or so Monaro's, there was some really great stuff and a lot to look at and a couple of interesting ones. Now I have to bail out now until I get home with pics, then post a few up.
See Ya ! Ron

Re: 7th Monaro Nationals--Warwick Qld
Well,I am glad that the scum did not get that one mate as the first report was six I was a bit iffy about that number but I am glad you have set it straight.
At least the police have something to go with that print, let's hope they catch these thieving a$$h&les I have been on the receiving end of a monaro been pinch and it is gut wrenching.
Ron have a safe trip home mate I am looking forward to seeing the pics.
Cheers Tony

Re: 7th Monaro Nationals--Warwick Qld
You can't put these people to death. they may have had a harsh upbringing.
Maybe their mummy or daddy said a bad word to them once and that drove them to a life of crime.
It's not their fault.
Which is why we should restrict ourselves to merely cutting off both their hands and kneecapping them.

The 1 Tonner has been found stripped, but part of the scum that stole it was caught by police still taking bit's off it.
So if anyone is offered BB Chev parts turbo 400 and 9inch to suit including panel's let the police know straight away.
Still no news on the XY ute.
Cheers Tony.

Re: 7th Monaro Nationals--Warwick Qld
Yeah Rob, many had bling wheels and some still had old school wheels . It looks like thats the way it is these days with more choice in bling wheels. Just doesn,t work on some.
Check out the Blue South African Monaro---They were a Chevrolet SS over there. Different.
