66 Nova Pro Street
Hi all, Here is my little Nova that has given me grief over the last 2 weeks.
Still not quite finished yet so it could still end up against a wall.
the chassis would not fit the body no matter what I tried.
Huge gap between inner guards and body,
Overall it's not too bad for a AMT kit.
I think I might remove the side pipes, they look a bit big.
still a little more work on the engine and chassis to do.

That's a nice looker,Shoey. I agree with you,the pipes look a bit more like septic pipes, lol, just a tad large.Great job popping the rear deck, too. Interior detail, especially the door panels, are really nice as well. Too bad about the fitment issues. Looks OK in the pics tho. Love your color combos thru-out too. All in all,I'd say it's a damned satisfactory build. You did this, problems and all,in two weeks? Dang,Bud.Amazing. Best to you.Bill

Re: 66 Nova Pro Street
Looken good dude. Those pipes would be a bit on the small side if it were a ricer , needs a couple of cannons out the back I reckon.

That's some machine dude! Looks great in all Aussie colours too. Beautiful detail all round. Pipes too big - nah! I've seen many cars with oversize ends on their exhaust pipes - sit back and enjoy for a while anyway.

Re: 66 Nova Pro Street
Looks good from here mate. If you are not happy, I will send you a box to put it in and send to me. I would be happy to put it on my shelf!
Can we get a better look at the carbs and plumbing detail?
PS - your radiator hose should go to that big hole in the front of the manifold not the top of the water pump.

Re: 66 Nova Pro Street
Great finish Chris, love the alloy bits and pieces dude and the braided hose. As Bryce pointed out ya hose is a bit off and I think ya cannons are a bit big. 1/12 scale?
Super build for 2 weeks though mate, sensational.

With the excessive size of the exhaust plumbing, maybe Shoey is compensating for a lack of size in his own plumbing?????

Nearly as concerning as Shoey not knowing where to plug his hose in!dufasdave wrote:With the excessive size of the exhaust plumbing, maybe Shoey is compensating for a lack of size in his own plumbing?????

This is really good for what I got from the kit. Warped chassis pan and interior, massive mold lines and things didn't want to fit! Awesome colours and engine detail is great!

Re: 66 Nova Pro Street
Thanks to all comments guys, I have since painted the pipes flat black and they appear a lot thinner, maybe I shouldn't have cut the ends at all, the opening also looks twice as big. thanks for the heads up with the radiator hose Bryce, I don't know what I was thinkin.
I will post some more pics soon, Cheers
