Trumpeter '63 Nova
Here you go Tillerman.
My attempt at the Nova hardtop.
It's almost box stock except for using the Fisher X flow head, extractors & injectors from the AMT '51 Chev (necessitating removal of the heater box and other firewall mods).
Paint is Dusky Rose Pearl over Gold and you can't see it but there is a massive scratch in the RH door that I did with my knife while persuading the body to fit over the chassis.
I manages 1 PE bonnet hinge before the threat to my sanity made me give up.
It's a good kit. Goes together nicely and parts breakdown is almost what you'd get in a 1:1 car. IIRC the only odd thing is the gap between the top of the firewall and the body.
I've also got a ragtop at the back of my stash cupboard and might have to drag it out soon.

You mean this scratch that is now enhanced courtesy of Photoshop?
That aside it's a really nice build Fred. Novas were always good looking cars.

Geez that looks kinda conservative by your standards - I like it!
Do the tyres come with that narrow whitewall?

Re: Trumpeter '63 Nova
Thanks all.
Especially Tezza for highlighting my scratch. Thanks mate. I owe you one
Bill - I wish it was so. The kit comes with most of the body trim as separate plated parts that glue into slots and PE emblems.
Bryce - yes, those are the stock tyres which come with printed whitewalls.

Wow,Fred. I'd say those extra bits help to justify that lofty price tag. It's still a beauty and I shan't dwell on your unfortunate mis-hap. Enjoy your weekend.Bill
