1964 Impala Lowrider *PICS UP*
Hi there
This is my first post on a forum ....... ever. So I apologise if something goes wrong with the post.
This was my first build about 4 years ago after taking about 10 years off studying, partying, working etc.
It is the Revell 1964 Chevy Impala Lowrider kit built box stock to get back into it. It is painted Tamiya TS 60 pearl green and the interior has been done in a similar acrylic and white.
I tried keeping it as simple as possible and was trying to get that 80s, 90s street driven look like you see in the rap music videos. I did the chassis and engine the same colour and the chrome work was done in Tamiya chrome silver.
There are a few things that i have picked up since building this kit like bare metal foil, flocking and I have just wired my first engine which I post in the Engine forum. Eventually when I get a chance, I want to make these changes and additions to this kit like bare metal foil the chrome work, wire and plumb the engine bay and boot and repaint the red bits black. I have a thing for Red which you will notice but sometimes use it in the wrong places so I think this kit needs a bit of an update but it went together so well I am not keen on pulling it apart just yet. One day.
Anyway, I hope you like it and I also hope this thread works

Hey Andrew, good to see you made it here! I already know what the Impala looks like, no need for pics I'll send you a message via the forum, see if it helps.

I'm interested to know why you gave up partying for modelling? However it's good you did because that's a really nice build. Hope to see more of your work soon.
