7th QLD N.N.L TITLES 2011

Hey Guys I thought it's about time I posted some info about the model comp.
Rockhampton Scale Modellers Assoc. along with the Capricorn Model House,
and Champions Brock Experience presents the 2011 Qld NNL Titles or (Rockhampton Model Show)
to be held on Saturday 12th February from 9.30am to 4.30pm at the Criterion Hotel Quay street Rockhampton.

MODEL ENTRY DETAILS
Set up from 7.30 Saturday 12th
Note NO ENTRIES will accepted after
10.30 am unless prior approval from promoter has been granted.

ENTRY FEES
Entry fee is $2.00 per model, up to 5 models, each model over are free.

One of the Best Model shops in QLD is only 1 minute walking distance away!!!!
Most Modellers stay back after the show for drinks and meals.

hows things looking up that way things were'nt looking to good on the news last night, I hope you've all still got your heads above water.

All good on my side. Highway now closed between Gracemere (where I am) and Rockhampton. If necessary we can go down to Gladstone (Happy Rock) for grocerys and stuff. My place well away from flooding area as is Shoey for he is on the northern side of Rocky away from river and flood plain. Beno, DV8V8, Moparsteve and Tillerman OK as well.
At this stage I will be boated across into Rocky to get to work, will stay there for my 4 days then boated back across to go home.

This thread seems to be going off track a bit but it is fairly relevant as all of us dont want wet, damp boxes of plastic kits, and we still want the competition in February. If you cant get to work, its a good time to maybe do some building for the comp.
In true Fire Service style, plans have changed and I wont be boating into town, we are going to man the auxiliary station here in Gracemere which will provide services for Gracemere, Capricorn Highway to Gogango and the Bruce Highway to Mount Larcom.

Ahhh it is, and after driving one in Brisbane at recruits, your right, what a pig of a truck to drive. Wider than the Scania, brakes felt like s&*t and very noisey in the cabin. Rocky had one as a front line truck until the Scania came. I believe there may only be one left as an operational truck in Brisbane, the rest are at Whyte Island at the training acedemy.

I'm keepen all my fingers and toes crossed and anything else I can cross that I will be able to make it, funds permitting.

Ya better turn up after all the work I've done. I have fixed the runway, serviced all aircraft and filled pot holes on the highway. all this while still at the Hobby shop. this show must go on!

It's not looking good for me getting there this year unfortunately.... I'm rostered on that weekend and the chances of getting it off aren't good. I'm filling in for the longwall electrician as he's going on holiday to the USA. Looks like I will be down the hole 300km away that day!!! Will see what I can do but doubt I can get it off... Might have to give a couple of entries to the schu man to enter for me if I can't be there....

That's a pitty Tillerman, I was hoping to catch up with you again, oh well guess I'll have to annoy Shoey. Lets hope Mother Nature will leave us alone for a while now so we can get on with the show.

Doesn't look like I'll be able to make it, you know the old saying, no mon no fun. Unfortunitely the boss lady has only just opened her practice after weeks of delays so don't know what the future holds just yet, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a miracle to happen though.

I know mate, spitten chips I tell ya, don't rule me out totally just yet, I'm probably about a 20/80 chance at the mo but I'll keep you posted.

Hey Kirk is there any chance of bumming a lift with ford boy and blue dog? If they are coming that is? I'm sure somebody could hook you up with some accomodation while you are in town if need be.

Not sure, think Rocket was talking about flying this year, I'll see what happens.
