Kermit the Green Tree Ford
This is one of 2 56's I have on the go, this one being a Jimmy Flintstone Chopped resin body. Body is pretty much as it came but with a lot of fiddley grinding on the inside to get things to fit. Donor kit is the 56 Vicky kit.
The colour is a custom mix of mine in acrylic lacquer, was going to use Sublime Green but only had it in Modelmaster enamel, didn't want the headache of that stuff so here it is with a couple of coats of clear.
Wheels and tyres are from AMT 70 Superbee, I'm attempting to pro street the 56 Vicky chassis and also do the paneling for the rear, see how it goes, nearly tossed it a few times so far. Motor will be a BB Ford with auto out of a TBolt kit, a spare I picked up at a swap meet.

Keep the Pro Street work up, it's looks very cool. I always wanted to do a Pro Street wagon, but as yet, haven't found the wagon.

Re: Kermit the Green Tree Ford
Nice Kirk, lots of potential there. I find it hard to beleive that you haven't done chassis work before (considering the number of killer pro street builds that you have done).
You will have a problem with the Vicky chassis due to the way amt moulded it. Can I suggest that you use the Super Bee chassis as it is the right length so it will avoid any cutting and shuting. Then you can graft the ford front end on to it to get it looking close to the real thing. Only problem with this is it will sit higher than your in the weeds mockup. The alternative is using a promod/prostock chassis but any of these would need to be stretched (and possibly widened) to achieve the wheelbase and you would have to mod (re: cut out) most of the engine bay.
Look forward to updates.

Re: Kermit the Green Tree Ford
How about using the Bad Actor/Bad News/Quicksilver '60 sedan delivery chassis? It's already a sedan delivery chassis and it's got plenty of room for big tyres...

Re: Kermit the Green Tree Ford
Alright. more done on this, ended up using the front half of the Vicky chassis and scratched up the rest, what a PITA, mainly because I glued the front of the chassis to the front of the interior and just worked my way back, real bugger getting everything lined up, especially with the resin body. Dash is an old Jaymar RHD one I had in my stash with a tacho out of a pro mod mounted on the column. Vicky front screen fitted with no mods, even tho the SD body is chopped. Body has been polished and waxed.
Next pics will be in the showroom, which hopefully will be tomorrow.
