this is an idea that I am thinking on I just gotten a 50 F1 pickup thought about turning it into a tray top then I got the AMT camper body in a swap today,so I been thinking of putting the camper on the back of it,will have to lenghten the wheelbase and widen the diff,I have some light truck wheels that I am thinking on using there will be twin rear wheels, will weather it a bit,or do you think I sould put a later model Chevy or Ford F100.

I think it would look pretty cool with the 50,all of the others I've seen built have been on 60's to present trucks.

You're on a winner there Allan. The wheels look perfect. I think its good to use the old F1 - could you use a chassis from another truck kit instead of lenghtening the F1?

Thank's micsmav,Tezza43,I did no think that this was a good idea but looks like I am wrong so far everyone like the idea Smile ,with the chassis Tezza43 it only needs be lenght about 1/2 will put some C channel to rejoin it and, have a Dodge ram kits the chassis is short have a F100 chassis is short and to thin, got to work out how to put a tow bar on the rear for the midget sprint car.

Carpet? Inside a camper? What luxury - I recall my uncle's camper having Lino on the floor. Oh well each to his own. It's already looking good Allan. This looks like being a great project.

Ya Tezza43,had a close look at the floor look's like it has a molded patten of the floor for lino did not see it first time around, Smile so I think I will stay will that may do a small bit to look like a floor rug,the chassis will have to be lenght about 20mm,got 3 to finish before I do any more to this one so me better pull a finger out. Ya The Goose,I know that the Ardun heads are cool for a flathead if I was build the F1 as Hot rod they would look good but I want it to look more like a stock engine and they put all there spare cash on the sprinter car.also heard the the Ardun head are a bit over size.
