Flamin 59 Chrysler Imperial

Finally done! You may have seen this one partially done in the flame instruction video. It's the Model King reissue of AMT's old 59 Chrysler Imperial. It's a very basic curbside (my kind of kit!!) so basic that I painted the chassis black and called it done. The paint is Tamiya White, a mix of Tamiya blues for the flames, a dash of pearl clear, then a bucket of 2K clear. The roof panel has a fade from dark blue at the pillars to light blue in the centre, can't really tell in the pics, but it's there. Wheels are pegasus, brakes from a rally car, lowered suspension by Dremel....
