Re: 41-47 Ford COE cab
weather the tray top with dry pastels,I used a wet 1/4" wide paint brush rub it on the side on pastel them put it on tray, you use it like paint,I used dark grey and charcoal grey, pastel goes on like chalky paint,if you dont like the colour it washes off with soapy water, here is tray got to clear up the edges of tray.If its not dark enought once dry add more pastel,Oh you can dry brush with it too,you can buy cheap set of dry pastels.

Re: 41-47 Ford COE cab
You'll get there Al, have painted the grill on the Road Boss 4 times now ,not as bad as a cab but still a pain in the bum. Poke along, it'll come together eventually.

Re: 41-47 Ford COE cab
Ya Deaf as that's the plan to work at it a little bit at a time, got the paint off the body Ok but the grill had a very big set back with it the bars in the grill buckle, no way to save them or straight them, have cut them out will have to make new ones, will just paint it Tamiya bright red next time around.

Re: 41-47 Ford COE cab
What are you going to use for the grill Allan? Plastic strip, brass, might find something in aluminium?
