49 Mercury. Barn Find!
Heres my "Barn Find" 49 Mercury. AMT kit. still runs...just needs a little push down a hill.. going back up hills are a bit of a struggle.

definetly seen better days. fantastic weathering, it looks real and the tarp adds so much to the theme. looks like your the man to ask for weathering tips and info. great job

andy you have to teach me how to do this mate love your work, if we had a fresh battery mate we could start this ol' girl. keep them coming . speedster

no probs speedster.. Actually a few meetings ago I did a basic demonstration for the members. You need a dremel and with this mustang I used rustall and pastels..Orange and browns....i did the same with the mercury.. If we get some new faces at the meetings I will definately do another demo...
One day I might do a step by step for the tips and tricks section.

Looks very authentic. Is that a fuel line going from the cabin to the engine.

yep.. fuel line goes from a jerry can to the engine. the front seats have been ripped out .. a home made beer crate has replaced the drivers seat.. no steering wheel! just a spanner and wrench to turn this beast.. theres springs coming out the back seat. wires coming out from everywhere in the cabin.
