Airfix 1/12th scale Blower Bentley Sneak Peak

Heres the Blower Bentley I mentioned I've been building. The Model has recieved alot of extra work over a 2 year period. A breif run down of the mods include as a set of machined and hand spoked wire wheels fully detailed chassis and fuel tank , new brake layshafts and suspension springs . Anyone familar with this kit will know how much extra work has gone into the build to date, Later on I will continue a detailed description of this build on this forum .

Now I feel completely overwhelmed...this is beautiful work. I think I might leave mine on the shelf for a bit longer. My skills need some significant improving. Please keep posting on this one.

Sean I've built two of these OOB for importers and know exactly what extra work you have done so far. It does make a difference to see things done as they should be. Many years ago when this kit was still in the design stage at Airfix, I was in contact with a consultant of theirs, Bob Jones, who advised Airfix to add more detail to the kit before production, but they couldn't justify the extra production costs. Interestingly the Bentley was to be followed up with an 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza to 1:12 scale. What a shame this didn't happen, but they still have the working plans so who knows?
