Pro Street 56 Chevy
Gday guys started a new project yesterday, Revell 56 Chev that Im going pro street with. A similar build to what I did with my Pro street Super Bee. I back halved the chassis with the pro street Chevelle, the fit is nearly perfect without any trimming. Ive chopped the boot lid off which Im going to hinge so I can throw in a resin fuel cell, pump battery etc. I love these Ross Gibson engines, so Im going to power it with the Rat Trap injected big block Chev. Colour will be a metallic blue, unsure wether it will be solid or two tone. Anyway back to the bench.

Re: Pro Street 56 Chevy
That looks like it'll be a killer 56 when it's finished.
I've got this kit (and got my eyes out for another one) as I want to build up a before and after of my 56 (if I ever finish it). Haven't started putting it together yet, but it looks like a good kit.

Re: Pro Street 56 Chevy
Thanks guys, been waiting for some stuff to arrive from detail master so have been a bit slack, Started work on the injected big block, didn't really like the resin injector trumpets so I replaced them with a set from Detailmaster that I chopped off 2 mm to get the staggered effect, then didn't like the resin pulleys and distributor, so replaced them with more turned aluminium gear from Detailmaster, so slowly its coming together the only thing that Im uncertain of is the type of rocker covers im going to use on it. The block and heads are gloss aluminium so Im thinking body colour or chrome cant decide, lol!

Re: Pro Street 56 Chevy
Thanks for the comments guys, got into it a bit during the week so the engine is nearly complete, got a bit of stuffing around to do the extractors to get them to fit so i havn;t wired up the dizzy yet. I ended up using the resin rocker covers but cut off the cast breathers and replaced them with some turned aluminium pieces from Arrowhead and painted them gloss black and used the resin alternator and replaced the pulley from my aluminium set. hopefully have the gearbox done over the weekend and start fitting it into the chassis.

Re: Pro Street 56 Chevy
Gday guys, well I started this about a year and a half ago my pro street 56, well the itch is back to finish the thing. motor pretty much finished with some wiring and extractors yet to be fitted, I used Arrowhead aluminum pulleys and breathers. And set up in the engine bay.

Re: Pro Street 56 Chevy
Was wondering how I missed this one and then saw the start date. Lol.
That engine looks fantastic and the rest is coming along nicely.
Great work so far.

Re: Pro Street 56 Chevy
Well thanks very much for the comments guys, Shunter, Yugster ive been pondering it since my last post, hence no progress, lol! I think I am going to go with a two tone paint job. black and metallic blue. obviously with the bare metal trim. I was going to go with a pearl orange then ............
black is easy now for the blue....... week off now to rip into the fuel system!
