Gentleman's Racer
Looks as if AUDI has finally seen the light. This is their new Gentleman's Racer Hot Rod concept car. It has a Lamborghini V10 engine and is constructed from aluminium and carbon fibre. It was designed by Mikael Lugnegard. I hope a kit of this is brought out soon, or maybe even a 1:18 scale diecast model?

Looks like somebody has a bit of a 32 Ford hot rod fetish from some angles , looks HOT except for the wheels .

Re: Gentleman's Racer
Pardon me, I just vomited on my keyboard.
Why would Audi even bother coming up with something that steals a large number of it's design cues from 30's american cars?
Have they none of their own tradition left to ransack?

Re: Gentleman's Racer
It's certainly different. If it were me designing it, I would lay the grill back a bit and make the roof and rear end a little chunkier. But then I guess it would mostly be a 32 anyway...
Good on em for doing something different though.

My guess is it's aimed at the American market, similar to what Chrysler did with their Prowler. But it's only a concept designed by a very young automotive styler, so it may never see the light of day anyway.

Re: Gentleman's Racer
I don't think this was commissioned by Audi as such - the guy is a freelance designer working fo himself doing random concepts. But I like it.
