Daytona Racer
Finally finished... this thing has fought me all the way & I'm not real happy with the results. Definitely a 2.0m model
My masking is lousy, I couldn't get anything square & I hate yellow paint. Still its out of my system now & I will move on. Paint scheme is roughly based on a century series fighter jet with the Pratt & Whitney turbine from the Lotus Indy car kit. Body mods include the top chop, front wheel arches moved forward & widened & the extended tail
Hope it gives someone some ideas
Brian

Re: Daytona Racer
Awesome build mate, absolutely stunning. The striping mishaps must only be in person as they aren't noticeable on pc. But what a ripper you've pulled off. Love it!

Re: Daytona Racer
Love the fact that you've used the turbine rather than just going for mega cubes. It really helps make the build stand out like it deserves.

Re: Daytona Racer
Hey TJ (70cudatj) Your hemis are some of the cleanest models I have seen. You mentioned in the workshop thread that you had a Daytona kit. They are such bad kits, its a challenge to get a good model out of one. Will you have a go at it in your style? Love to see it mate. Maybe some of you other Mopar dudes could have a go too... its such an iconic car to model & you rarely see it done.

Re: Daytona Racer
Yeah, must agree, not the best kit to build , but can look awsomely tuff when done a little different, done 2 myself in a couple of different styles.

Re: Daytona Racer
A Daytona build off hey? Sounds good to me. I'd join in, as long as actually completing the build is optional
