Ive had this one for as long as time it's self, It has been painted about 4 million different colours over the years.
so I think this may just be the last build for this ol girl!!

panels were removed to allow for the resin replacements.

tin foil comes in handy for dented panels

after the foil mould was done, it was filled with resin.

Plastic tubing and a paper clip was used for the hinges (Door, Boot and bonnet)

the HK front and rear was replaced with the Cavelier HT. but the body still remains as the HK.

Shoey thanks for this valuable lesson you've given here. It's certainly given me some ideas to work on.

You know back in the old days (here I go again), we used to make similar hinges from wire and rolled-up paper (instead of the plastic tube). How times have changed.

tj can you post the U-Tube link here? I'd like to see the vids as well.

Coincidentally I have the original HK Holden sedan and Monaro plastic models in 1:24 scale. They are the very first ones that GMH sold to its employees way back when (1970's I think). A New Zealand company made the moulds and then the models, which are curbside. I may even have the original boxes? Employees paid $1 each for them.

Now my wife and I are moving house, I'll see if I can find them in the garage (my national treasure zone).
