67 GT 500 'Eleanor'
Hey Guys, Finally got around to posting this one, 1st posted in workshop Feb 09. Wow time has past.
I've been waiting for the right rims to come along. They are off the Revell 77 Chev Monte Carlo.
Tyres from my parts stash! Not quite the same but very close.
Still have to put spinner caps on. that might take another 2 years.
a few more hoses and wires needed.

Worth the wait - a superb replica Shoey. So what's another two years for spinners? Fairly normal in the world of car modelling.

Thanks for the comments guys,
Zen, I must admit the real thing is hotter than hell,
and it's hard to believe its a F@#d.
This was my first attempt with the rims. Yuk!

Re: 67 GT 500 'Eleanor'
Cool. I've noticed that a lot of builders on a lot of forums dream about making that car but not many actually do anything about it. It's good to see Eleanor come to life.
Even though the Cobra/GT40 Halibrand wheels may have been closer to the real thing, I think the wheels you chose look just right.

Re: 67 GT 500 'Eleanor'
Looks awesome. I am also rebuilding an Eleanor for someone and detailing everything. But it's a 1:18 scale diecast car. A better version of these cars is definately needed.
