1/25 Gas Dragster
Here's another build I did awhile back. I built this from the front engine "Ramchargers" kit with alot of revisions. I wanted to make one of the many gas dragsters of the 1960's. I replaced the supercharger with injector stacks, scratchbuilt the fuel cell and all the heim joints for the front end, then added alot of Pro Tech parts for the detailing. Thanks for looking.

Re: 1/25 Gas Dragster
Your engine builds always look so realistic. I'm guessing there's a wash of smokey gray/black layed over it to enhance the details?
One of the best superdetailed dragster models I've seen. Your workmanship is exemplary.

Thanks everyone for your comments, I appreciate them. I want to also apologies for not being more active in the forum but the business keeps me really busy with very little free time anymore. Also thanks to all of your that supports Pro Tech, your business is always appreciated.
tezza43, your guess is correct. I weather my engines etc with the following - First I use a wash of Polly Scale (grey/black, charcol color) mixed with glass cleaner (not water). The glass cleaner allows the wash to flow really well (breaks the surface tension) compared to water as water tends to bead up on the surface. I use about 80 - 90% glass cleaner to 10 -20% paint. After this dries I also use pastel chalks to add more effects (on this model I used the chalks on the headers over the wash to add even more grime etc.
Thanks again,
Charlie
