Scania R620 Military Tractor
I have been working on a military design Scania R620 for some time, as my interest has always been 1/35 scale military vehicles. I decided I wanted to try and build one in 1/24 scale.
I must say that this particular Italeri kit is very good. The chassi of this particular model is beautiful. It looks almost like it came out of a Batman film. You'll see what I mean when you look at my pics. The constructions went well but the fittings could have been better. Regardless, the build went smoothly. Some irretations here and there but nothing too major.
Hope you enjoy the pics so far. I am 99% done. I had looked at some of the Dutch Scania trucks and got most of the ideas from their military Scania tractors. This particular build is adapted to suit my liking and is not particular to any replicate that is out there today. Although the characteristics are the same. I know about not seeing a Topline version in the Dutch or Danish arsenal. I have been looking for one on the net but have not come across any. So, although this particular version of my build does not represent any real version out there today(that I know of) it is purely speculative that they ever used a Topline version.
So here is the build of my version:

Re: Scania R620 Military Tractor
Why does the front remind me of a stormtrooper helmet (Star Wars)?
Your attention to detail amazes me, and you make it all look so natural and real. That interior is stunning - well done.

Brilliant!!!!!! If only I had a quarter of the talent you have. You European truck modellers are amazing, must be something in the water over there.

Thanks. I love big trucks but I am a 1/35 modern armor builder. I just started building 1/24 at the beginning of this year.
