nova pro street
Hey Guys , have'nt been doin much of late apart from the lincoln I started a couple of weeks ago. Found this body in an old forgotten box and thought why not . I wanted sumfin a little different to kick start my building again. hope you like !!!!...............
Im a little undecided as to what colour yet , however I'm leaning towards vivid yellow...
Im going to lash out and buy one of those new electric tooth brushes and try to lay a good coat of paint down on it ................or perhaps I will use a straw
I have about 6 kits all ready for painting and now its stress and anxiety time . I absolutely loath this part of the modelling process but you'd think i'd get better with time . Any way all comments welcome at this stage

Re: nova pro street
Something different you say ... I say congrats - you've done it.
Hmmm I love the painting (Just discovered airbrushes and luuurvin it) Yellow would look good but I always feel vans have a lot of surface which can make one color look like too much ...needs another color to break it up. Even just a stripe but then again Im a BIG fan of 2 tone so I am a little biased.
Looks good so far. Dont fear the paint mate because if ya hose it up ...into the brake fluid and try again!

Mate, that body style is AWSOME!! That wil look supurb no matter what colour you do it. dont be scared of the old air brush, they are easier than a can thats for sure. will be watching this one closely, can't wait!

Re: nova pro street
Very nice mate. I love the concept of the wagon.
May I ask where the body came from? is it a kit or resin?
Cheers

One colour does look a bit too much, unless your having Decals of some sort.baZOOKa wrote:

But A stripe or two tone would look nice.

Not sure what you mean about electric toothbrush? Is this a new technique or just a bit of humour?
Anyway the build is different for sure and already looks awesome - well done.

Re: nova pro street
Mic looks very cool mate! decided on a colour yet? give us a yell if you want any painting tips, I'm not the best but I've got lots of info Ive downloaded over the years. Knowing what brand and type (spraybomb vs airbush) might help us help ya out too. Good luck and keep that resin away from brake fluid, use easyoff oven cleaner if you have to strip it.
Re: nova pro street
Beautiful work Mic, the chassis require much chopping to fit? Is it the Soft Seal 57 chassis? I've got the same body to build up it's a Jimmy Flintstone. A nice deep red would look nice on it.
And I better put the predictable bits in too! Got to love the vans!!! and
Cant wait to see some more pics of it.

Nova pro street
Hello lads , Thought i'd post a few updated pix of the nova .....
I'm reasonably happy with the new electric toothbrush , a damn site better than a straw for painting .Still have to make windows , interior and do the plug leads ....
More work to do , so I'll leave you to it then .....
