Hemi Dart
This a newbie on my bench, the newish RM Hemi Dart. Was thinking of doing it along the lines of the Poison Dart from Wrecks to Riches but with my own flavours.
I probably start my projects differently to most by doing the paint job first before anything else, the first reason is cause if I stuff up the paint it can go back in the box till I decide to fix it, it also saves me the trouble of doing a lot of mod work if it only goes back in the box, second reason is I'm not always sure what direction I am going to go with wheels, motor and all that stuff, the colour often chooses that for me.
Anyhoot, the colour is my own mix Candy Orange. I started by laying down some white, then mixing straight white pearl with Candy red and yellow and laying that down, then I mixed some Candy Yellow and Candy Red and sprayed that over the top, all in acrylic lacquer. Followed by about 4 coats of Holts rattle can clear acrylic lacquer. I'll let it harden for a week or two then wet sand and polish with Novus #2.
Think I will go with wheel choice #1 but the others are the choices I have. Comments or opinions please?

A great start - beautiful colour. Bright and wild - that's just what this car needs.

Re: Hemi Dart
I vote for wheel 2 but with 19's at both ends.
Or body colour steelies with dog dishes & trim rings and the sills scraping in the weeds.

Re: Hemi Dart
Fantastic paint! I like your first choice but I must say i used the Pegasus c/lines on a 69 Camaro and they look awesome in real life.

Re: Hemi Dart
Have been slowly plugging away at this one. Bought a PE carb linkage kit, OMG, how small are the bits. Anyway, got carb linkages done, as well as fuel lines, plug leads, return spring and throttle cable. Bit more to do on it yet.
Body is polished and foiled. Five point harness made, well one anyway, no way I'm doing 2. Interior will be satin black with half cage.
