Drag Boat.
Here is my 1/24 scale drag boat. This one was built long ago out of Balsa, I have since discovered evergreen Plastic sheets.
the motor is out of the Castrol Olds funny car (I think)
My passion for boats came from the 70's when I used to watch my Dad race them. (But nothing this powerful)

Cool build Shoey. Does the boat touch the water when the engine is in full song?

Some of these boats hardley touch at all, there is a boat called Madness that runs a 4.6 second standing 1/4 mile.

Thanks , but these engines dont last longer than a minute at full noise, thats about 10 runs. the rebuilds dont take log either.
Re: Drag Boat.

Re: Drag Boat.
I like it more knowing you built it out of balsa, nice work man.
I"m guessing you also built the trailer from scratch?

Re: Drag Boat.
Hey Maximus, This boat and the drag boat were scratch built from balsa, My more recent ones are built from Evergreen plastic sheets. my dad used to race back in the 70's it's name was Ace hunter. a 11ft Spider Hunter with a 50 hp Merc hangin of the back.

Re: Drag Boat.
Shoey, the boats you have built are amazing, the trailer on the drag boat looks so good,I like the detail on the “Ace Hunter” especially the old Holden hub caps & the motor, great work mate.
