"30 Ford Woody
While building the Mustang I have also started this kit. 1930 Ford Woody Street Rod. Nothing fancy happening here. Just changed the wheels. Colour is Model Master Stop Light Metallic over a gloss black base. i will be painting the timber effect on the "Woody" side panels.

That's coming along just fine mate. Love the old woodies. Take a peek at Carps' recent trip to the USA photos - lots of reference material there.

Re: "30 Ford Woody
Thats the colour I was trying for. I just used 3 coats gloss black, 3 coats of stop light red metallic and then 3 coats of clear. I was only trying to use paint I already had. I have a tendency to use straight from the bottle/spraycan colours so I decided its time to experiment a bit. Trying to mix some colours now. This one isn't exactly what I wanted but still, it doesn't look to bad. The wood effect will be a very light coloured timber.

I like that colour, I think it would change in the sunlight.

Got a bit more done. Waiting for the wood panelling to dry after clearcoating it so no pics sorry. Floor has been flocked. Seat covered with masking tape and then painted to match the floor. Engine wired.
This shouldn't be far from being finished. Stay tuned.
