Road warrior - End of the Road
Since this model was fairly badly damaged i decided to make lemonade and make it into the crashed interceptor, just before it blows up. I dented it up a bit more and i removed the roof spoiler (i imagined that it'd get broken off when the car rolled, as it's only fibreglass), and also some of the LH wheel arch (as it definitely broke off). i cut off the front (which was broken earlier in the movie). i weathered it a bit more (to match my interceptor 2) but added some silver scratching. The 'stuff' from the interior was spread around the debris field. i made the display base for it from a photo frame and some plaster mixed with dirt, then painted and weathered.

Rod , when someone gives you lemons you can either suck lemons or make lemonade , or for your age group "always look on the briiiight side of life (insert whistling here) "fat141 wrote:

Great build Aussie Muscle , the only thing is where is the bomb on the underside of the factory fuel tank ? Love the way you've weathered this and the general theme of the build (and use of a damaged kit) .

Maybe checkmate might also read this (insert whistling Col. Bogie theme)
Cheers

Re: Road warrior - End of the Road
Thanks for the big thumbs up, guys.
now look at the middle picture... do you see the broken windscreen?
in the bottom photo, behind the rear wheel closest to camera (passenger or LH side). i seem to have weathered away the red and silver colours that were on it.sports850 wrote: the only thing is where is the bomb on the underside of the factory fuel tank ?

Creative use of a model that went wrong. Good recovery.

Geez that looks so real. Your weathering skills are fantastic, and the overall look of destruction is darn good too. Well done!
