55 chev cameo

Merry christmas all, have had a case of builders block for about a week now, spent many hours sitting model room with no inspiration, so Adam went googling
for some inspiration, and came up with this, turns out he just wanted me to go modeling so he could have the TV for the playstation.(sneaky bugger).
Here is what he found,


So, started by channeling the chassis up under a bit, sectioned the interior and the inner of the tray, then narrowed the inner of the tray to fit the
Pegasus 23T's up under, sits pretty good now but lots more to do, this will be used as an idea, not an exact copy.

Yes Allan, i'm going with a slight variation of the original black/red paint scheme.
Made a different tail-gate with the chev logo, but changed my mind, i think i'll go with the other one i made, more like the one in the picture.


I've also put a body line down to separate the 2 colours, which will be chrome, it will lead in from a chrome emblem on the front of the guard.

Interior is also done.

hopeing to lay down some paint on the body today,
will keep you posted.

How low can you go? Looking great - perfectly suited to a rockabilly custom show with obligatory burlesque type chick leaning on the bonnet.

here is one for you its a jimmy flintstone resin body of a 50 -57 chevy pickup,one could use the chev zoom to build it.going to get one

Thanks Allan, but stuff MR Flintstone, as long as there is glue/putty/plastic, i make my own, not a real fan of resin.
Here's one i prepared earlier, it is the same kit i am doing now, with a roof chop, and the fins are off an old 57' funny car, plus a few other bits, haha!

that look's cool ,even pretty in pink the last resin pick up body that I got has put me a bit off them,have a look at the inter one to see why. a lot of work to save it.

I remember that inter body, wasn't exactly molded well was it, pity there is no quality control on those type of purchases, i have a few resin bodies on the shelf to do, every time i pick one up, i think, mmm, maybe next time due to thickness, quality etc., it sort of turns you off doesn't mate.

Fresh out of the paint booth, will let it set a bit then wet sand, chrome and more clear.

G'day all, been a busy day, got the chrome done and some more clear. Polish tomorrow i think.
