'40 Ford Delivery-from hell! Empty '40 Ford Delivery-from hell!

Post by RetrospectKustoms Fri 27 Jan 2012, 6:59 pm

Hey all, finished this one up last year, was a combination of 3 kits and some various other parts. Would sure give MadMax a run I think. Didn't get too carried away with extra detailing, just fuel injection hoses, leads, weathering.

The tyres are from an AOSHIMA Hilux kit, what is called the "high-rider" It's an insane kit, comes with those great wheels and tyres, BIG spotlights (6 of 'em), roll bars, etc. Unfortunately the kit is getting a little hard to find now and goes for $50-$85 bucks! Crying or Very sad

I'm getting used to outrageous prices. Last time I was into building, I would get the cars for between $10 and $20 each. I could buy wholesale sometimes. I could get them at toys shops really cheap sometimes. One in the city was liquidated at 50% off, so I bought a stack of stuff then.
Now? I have to pay "collectors prices" for stuff that was as common as mud. Even the ordinary stuff is in the $40 area.
