1960 Pontiac Bonneville

started the Trumpeter 60 pontiac Bonneville first time i have done a Trumpeter kit ...its different, gunna build it mostly box stock (have a hardtop to customise) will lower the front end a touch, paint will be white with red interior, so far i have finished the engine, only mods here are the plug leads.

Looks pretty nice, however, the rivet counter in me says Bonnevile should have chrome rocker covers.

u could b right Carps, i think the structions lose something in the translation, for the engine it seems that if it wasnt the color of the block it should be black ! never seen a black carby !

I was thinking about the air cleaner, but since my Bonneville was a 421 Tri-Power it had three little chrome air cleaners.

If you're interested I'll check my Poncho literature and see if I can provide some more accurate colour spec info.

thanks carps, i did a search and found lots of pics...... tooooooo many pics didnt know wich way to go with so much info!, rekon i will leave it as it is cos it looks ok to me

I've built one of these. Nasty mould separation lines on the bumpers and the PE bonnet hinges will drive you insane.
The clear on mine has yellowed really badly and it really could do with pulling apart & redoing.

got some paint on this one and cleaned up bumpers and alcladed them
