Aoshima Toyota Century
Hi guys,
So, this is my latest build and my first WIP. Needed something simple to build after moving house and after digging around, I found this.
It's Aoshima's Toyota Century complete with monster 18" Wald rims for that true Japanese VIP style. Lol.
The body was painted years ago so just gave it a quick polish and wax and then started BMF (also a first).
Should turn out well and hopefully won't take too long to finish.
Cheers,
Josh.

Re: Aoshima Toyota Century
Thanks for the comments guys, should hopefully have another couple of pics up tonight but will wait and see.
The BMF was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Allan, it was based on the Crown in '67 and the first gen had a 30 year life span with only cosmetic changes. Was replaced in '97 with the current model that runs a 5.0L V12. The last of the first gen ran a stonking 4.0L V8 (5VEU) pumping out 121kW... Lol.

Re: Aoshima Toyota Century
Thanks Fred and Adam. The paint is just Tamiya Metallic Black with either Tamiya or Testors Pearl Clear.
Here's a quick update. BMF'd the door handles, Got the front and rear end bumpers and lights done.
Suspension and chassis done.
Nothing spectactular but really, you're not going to see it... Shame about the brakes though. I think they turned out nice.
The stance is all part of the VIP style and I think on a large sedan it actually looks quite good.
Next up will be the interior although I've got no idea what colour to go with. Thinking black with woodgrain or maybe a tan colour... Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
Cheers,
Josh.
