69 Chevelle
this is my latest project, AMT's 69 Chevelle its a reissue of an old kit but does have a lot of extra goodies in it and despite being an oldie some of the detail is pretty good, plan is to keep it simple with only a few detail upgrades this is where im up to so far.

Re: 69 Chevelle
I built this kit many moons ago. Look forward to seeing this completed to your normal top standard. Paint sounds pretty cool. Be watching hoe this turns out.

Yep they just dont fit very nicely, some seem to be better than others, so just check before you go to paint

Re: 69 Chevelle
Man, don'tcha hate it when bits fit so poorly?
Then don'tcha ;ove it when ya got mates to warn you so you don't go nuts thinkin you've messed sumpin up?
Lookin good so far, even like the big wheels, guess I must be mellowing with age, or whatever it is mellows a fellow.

Can't remember where I read about this, but IIRC originally this kit had chrome bezels with red clear inserts. At some stage cost reducing resulted in what we see here.
Still, better you know now than when it's too late.

Re: 69 Chevelle
Looks great Deev but I don't like the wheels.
And as you don't care what I like that matters not one iota
Paint is great but is there going to be a red pinstripe on the bonnet?

Re: 69 Chevelle
no more stripes, this was not the initial choice for wheels but i rekon these ones suit it would have liked to be able to get 19's for the front to drop it down a lil more but couldnt get them

Re: 69 Chevelle
Nice paint mate, i personally DO like the wheels but i think a red stripe between the two colours on the bonnet would set it off, but if not, well i reckon it still looks great.
