'32 Jalopy
This car is based on what was once know as a "jalopy". They were probably the precursor to the Hot-rod and the Rat -rod.
If you go to youtube and look up an old Disney film called: Make Mine Music and go to the segment called: All The Cats Join In, one appears being driven by some what some teenagers were then called: "bobby soxers". Fox tail aerial and all.
I'm in my late sixties and my parents must have taken me to that film because I remember the "jalopy" from the animated film. It came out in 1946 would you believe. These cars were popular in the late '40s and early '50s.
Anyhow, mine has the body channelled over the frame, engine slightly modified with The Parts Box headers and a paint brush ferrule replacing the air cleaner. The interior has been modified to accept the channelling and few other mods including a bit of rust and dirt. And of course the fox tail on the end of the aerial. the bodgie
P.S. Apologies for sending the same photo three times. Will try to fix it. That's better. I'll get the hang of it eventually.
