Chopped ’32 sedan
Finished this up today. It’s based on the Revell ’32 sedan with a flathead from a ’48, a mild chop and some more traditional wheels and tyres. I also used the grill shell from a new Rat Roaster kit – it’s a real nice piece – fits much better than the old tool. Turned into a bit of a tribute to Henry Richards’ way cool ride after my copy of TRJ number 58 arrived in the mail.
And here’s a pair of Deuces off to Bonneville!

At the risk of being picky, it is a sedan.
In 1932 Ford in the US built Tudor Sedans and Fordor Sedans in both standard and deluxe formats.
In Australian hot rodding somewhere along the line the term sedan was applied only to four door sedans with a separate class for two door sedans (Tudors).
As an added bit of trivia, I am constantly amused by rodders who use the British pronunciation of Tudor (like chooder) instead of the US pronunciation (toodor)
The Sedan Delivery was based on the Tudor with blanked off windows and the back door added. They also produced a windowed delivery mostly for use as flower cars for funeral parlors that left the glass back side windows in place but still had the rear door
Chris
Ford coined the names Tudor for the two door cars and Fordor for the four door cars.

Confusing isn't it but I count two doors, so I'd call it a Tudor. Same as an American '32 delivery I'd call a Tudor delivery as it ran Tudor doors, to be a sedan delivery it should've ran sedan sized doors.
At the end of the door it's a sweet as model either way.

Well done Bryce.
Once again you've done a lot of work to make something looking plain and simple.

Amazing. One of the best looking flat head engines that I have seen in a model. Brilliant work.

Thanks guys. The rear tyres are resin copies I made of the dirt trackers out of the old Monogram Black Widow kit. Paul generously lent me a set out of his kit and I made a mould after fitting a rim from an AMT ’34 Ford to fill the enormous hole and make them a bit more accurate to scale. Truth be told, at the time I thought they looked stupid big and didn’t think I’d ever have a use for them, but when I needed to fill those rear wheel arches these did the job just right. I’m not much of a resin caster though and it took a bit of work filling pin holes to get them looking this good…
The entire engine came from the Revell ‘48 Ford convertible kit.

How many doors on a coupe though Rob?
I’ll leave you guys to argue about semantics. They call it a sedan on the box so I’m sticking with that!

Thanks Fred. I really appreciate that comment. It pretty much sums up my whole approach to this hobby. I get my kicks out of sweating the small stuff…
Thanks to everyone for all your nice words - they mean a lot to me. I’m really pleased with this build and I’m glad you all like it too.

Re: Chopped ’32 sedan
Looks like you've nailed another one Bryce, top job.
The name that Henry Ford gave it was 'Tudor Sedan', so everybody is correct!
However, my investigation of Bryce's recent builds has revealed the secret to his proliferation, none of his recent builds are complete, he leaves half the parts off.
